Fortnight for Freedom

Dear Brother Knights,

Throughout the week, the Catholic Church in the United States will  continue to celebrate the Fortnight for Freedom — a two-week period from June 21 to July 4 that considers in a particular way our First Amendment Right to Religious Freedom. The effort is being led by our Supreme Chaplain, Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore, in his role as chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty.

The following resources may help you and your family in thinking more about this important issue:

1. The USCCB’s Fortnight for Freedom website
2. The USCCB’s recently produced video on Dignitatis Humanae, the Second Vatican Council’s document on religious freedom.
